Job Description
Barback / BartenderButterfly Bar is looking for an experienced Barback / Bartender to join our team.
We re looking for someone who has solid bar experience, is dependable, and understands that working behind a bar is about a lot more than just making drinks.
This is a hybrid position. We are looking for consistent availability Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday evenings.
What We're Looking ForPrevious bartending experienceBarback or bar-support experienceGood customer service and communication skillsSomeone reliable who shows up ready to workAble to work independently and as part of a teamComfortable anticipating what needs to be done instead of always waiting to be askedWilling to stock, clean, bus, wash glassware, and help wherever neededComfortable working indoors and outdoorsCurrent TABC and Food Handler certificationA Little About UsButterfly Bar is located at The VORTEX, a nonprofit theatre and arts organization in East Austin. We have a large outdoor patio, an indoor bar, live music, theatre performances, community events, and a really eclectic mix of customers and regulars.
We care a lot about the environment we've created here. We're a community-minded space, and we're looking for someone who will fit into that culture and contribute to it. We're looking for someone who takes good care of our customers, supports the rest of the staff, and takes pride in the space they work in.
