Bar Grotta / Caprice (8th and Congress Downtown Austin)Opening early June, Caprice and Bar Grotta are looking for experienced bartenders to join our team. We are a split-level, full-service restaurant (Caprice) and bar (Bar Grotta) featuring Coastal Italian Cuisine and warm neighborhood hospitality. Bar Grotta, our downstairs bar, with a more energetic feel, features a strong cocktail program, thoughtful wine list, genuine hospitality, and attention to detail. We're looking for team members who can handle high-volume service while still creating a polished, welcoming guest experience at the bar and throughout the dining room.

What We re

Looking For:

2+ years bartending experience in a full-service restaurantStrong classic cocktail knowledge; interest in Italian spirits and Amari is a plusWine knowledge and interest in Italian wineAbility to multitask and stay organized during busy serviceTeam-oriented mindset and positive attitudeComfortable talking with guests and making recommendationsReliable availability including evenings and weekendsValid TABC and Food Handler certificationsToast/OpenTable experience is helpful but not requiredWhat You ll

Be Doing:

Preparing cocktails, wine, beer, and NA cocktailsProviding attentive service to bar guestsSupporting service bar during busy dinner rushesMaintaining a clean and organized workspaceAssisting with bar prep, stocking, batching, and opening/closing dutiesWorking closely with FOH and kitchen teams during high-volume service

It is designed to feel sophisticated yet approachable, serving as a high-end space for both special occasions and frequent dining. Bar Grotta is the moody, "underground" counterpart to Caprice. Located downstairs, this is an intimate lounge built with stone walls to evoke the feeling of a natural hidden European grotto.
