The Gin Mill Lounge offers both Fredericksburg visitors and locals alike a place to relax while enjoying unique hand-crafted cocktails featuring largely Texas-made spirits, wines, and brews. The lounge is located within Cotton Gin Village and adjacent to Cabernet Grill, one of Fredericksburg's well-established dining destinations. We are hiring immediately for a full-service bartender position. We are looking for someone who is personable, outgoing, clean, organized, and professional, with a strong focus on hospitality and guest interaction. The ideal candidate will be dependable, attentive to detail, comfortable working independently, and able to maintain a clean and organized bar throughout the shift. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and will represent the Gin Mill Lounge well.

Schedule:

Tuesday-Saturday. We are closed on Sundays and Mondays, with exception of special events.

Compensation:

$13.00 - 15.00 per hour + tips

Job Duties Bar Preparation:

Set up and organize the bar for service Arrange furniture, wipe down tables, and set up menus Stock the bar with necessary tools and ingredients

Service & Guest Experience:

Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival Prepare and serve craft cocktails, beer, and wine while applying cost controls and following portioning guidelines. Ensure guests feel taken care of and invite them to return

Bar Maintenance:

Polish glassware and maintain a clean bar area Keep prep areas neat and presentable Break down and reset the bar at the end of each shift

Teamwork & Standards:

Work closely with management and coworkers for smooth operations Adhere to company service standards and alcohol handling policies What We're Looking For Positive, outgoing attitude with a strong focus on guest services Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities Ability to work in a high-volume setting and stand for extended periods Receptive to feedback and eager to learn during training Able to lift/move up to 25 pounds

Preferred:

Previous bartending experience in hospitality

Required:

TABC Seller Certification (must obtain before starting)

Food Handlers Permit Work Location:
