at Burke Mountain Resort/Bear Den Operations Co in East Burke, Vermont, United States Job Description We are seeking an experienced and energetic Lead Bartender to support our Food & Beverage team. The Lead Bartender helps oversee daily bar operations, provides exceptional guest service, maintains inventory and beverage quality, and assists with training and supervising bartending staff. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about beer, wine, cocktails, and responsible alcohol service, while remaining professional, organized, and composed in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support bartending staff to ensure excellent service and accurate pours.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of beer, wine, cocktails, and food offerings.
  • Prepare and serve beverages consistently according to established standards.
  • Provide friendly, attentive, and professional guest service.
  • Monitor guests for responsible alcohol consumption and verify identification.
  • Address guest concerns and inappropriate behavior safely and professionally.
  • Assist guests with safe transportation options when necessary.
  • Maintain clean, organized, safe, and fully stocked bar areas.
  • Monitor and rotate liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and other supplies.
  • Assist with inventory, ordering, and maintaining appropriate liquor costs.
  • Accurately process orders and payments through the POS system.
  • Maintain an organized cash drawer and complete end-of-shift cash-outs.
  • Prepare garnishes and maintain an attractive, functional bar setup.
  • Clear and reset tables and assist with overall restaurant cleanliness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
