Job Description

Emish Restaurant is a Ukrainian and European restaurant located in Federal Way, WA. We are looking for a friendly, professional, and experienced Bartender to join our team and provide excellent service to our guests. The ideal candidate has previous bartending experience, strong customer service skills, good knowledge of beverages and cocktails, and the ability to work efficiently and professionally in a busy restaurant environment. What You'll Do Greet guests and provide friendly, professional service at the bar and restaurant Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and restaurant standards Prepare cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages Take accurate beverage and food orders Enter orders correctly into the POS system Explain beverage options and make recommendations to guests Provide excellent and attentive customer service Monitor guest needs throughout their visit Verify identification and ensure compliance with Washington State alcohol laws Refuse alcohol service when legally required or when a guest appears intoxicated Communicate customer orders and special requests clearly with the kitchen and restaurant staff Process payments accurately and handle cash and credit card transactions Maintain accurate checks and follow restaurant payment procedures Keep the bar, equipment, glassware, and service areas clean and organized Restock beverages, bar supplies, garnishes, and other products as needed Monitor inventory and communicate low-stock items to management Follow proper storage and handling procedures for beverages and supplies Minimize waste and maintain appropriate portion control Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards Assist servers and other restaurant staff when needed Complete opening and closing bar duties Maintain a professional, respectful, and positive work environment
Work Schedule:
Full-time or part-time; schedule will be discussed during the interview. Weekend and holiday availability is required.
PayCompensation:
$18-22/h + tips (Competitive hourly pay plus tips , based on experience and qualifications).
Benefits:
Full-time employees are eligible for competitive employee benefits including paid sick leave (1 hour per 40 hours worked), partial employer-covered medical insurance (75% for full-time employees), and paid vacation: 1 week after 1 year of employment and 2 weeks after 2 years. Required Qualifications Previous professional bartending experience Strong customer service and communication skills Knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages Experience using a POS system Ability to handle cash and credit card payments accurately Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and applicable Washington State laws Ability to recognize when alcohol service should be refused Ability to work weekends and holidays
