Responsibilities Greet guests warmly, take accurate orders, and serve food and beverages promptly with a friendly attitude. Prepare and serve a wide range of drinks, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards. Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders, payments, and cash transactions efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, dining space, and service stations in compliance with food safety standards. Develop new beverage recipes and contribute to menu updates that reflect current trends and customer preferences. Upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest experience while increasing sales revenue. Handle cash register operations accurately, process payments swiftly, and balance cash drawers at shift end. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders during busy service periods. Demonstrate extensive knowledge of spirits, wine varieties, brewing processes, and mixology techniques to educate guests and elevate their experience. Assist in training new team members on service protocols, POS systems, beverage preparation, and food handling procedures. Requirements Proven experience as a server or bartender in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment; fine dining experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient order processing. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations professionally. Demonstrated expertise in cocktail mixing, beverage recipe development, wine knowledge, craft beer experience, and spirits handling. Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining high-quality service standards. Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire; familiarity with food handling procedures is essential. Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations related to sales or inventory. Experience with food industry standards including banquet service or catering is a plus. Strong communication skills combined with a team-oriented attitude; previous bar management or hospitality industry experience is advantageous.
