The Banquet Set-Up Attendant is responsible for preparing and setting up banquet rooms, ensuring the event space meets the specifications and standards set by the client or event coordinator. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work as part of a team to create a seamless event experience
Responsibilities:
Responsible for setup and breakdown of all meetings and events. Position will work in both an indoor and outdoor setting and require ability to work in extreme temperatures. Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, moving and arranging of banquet equipment, tables, chairs, furniture, etc., refreshing meeting rooms, removal of trash, placing and changing linens, organization and maintenance of in-house equipment. Must be able to follow written instructions and detailed diagrams to setup events. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs, and be able to push, pull, bend and move continuously as this is a manual labor position.
Cleaning :
Clean banquet rooms, hallways, storage areas, and service areas. Preparing meeting rooms for guest arrival, ensuring cleanliness. This includes vacuuming, cleaning doors, baseboards, walls, air walls, and other assigned areas. Set up and tear down : Set up tables, transport tables and equipment, and tear down and clean banquet spaces after events.
Equipment :
Maintain the condition of banquet equipment and ensure it is stored safely and organized. Customer service : Respond to guest requests and ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in banquet or event setup is preferred, but not always required. Familiarity with basic event equipment, furniture, and safety protocols is an advantage. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Physical stamina to lift, move, and arrange heavy furniture and equipment. Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and event staff. This role often requires working evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on event schedules.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry, and move furniture and event equipment (often 25 lbs or more). Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
