Assistant Food Service Manager - ( 26142160 ) The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Montana State Hospital. The Assistant Food Service Manager is responsible for the oversight and management of the food production function at Montana State Hospital over the weekends when the manager is not on campus. This work includes planning and implementing food preparation assignments, requisitioning supplies, evaluating quality and safety standards and supervising food production personnel. Required for the first day of work: Comprehensive knowledge of food service management, inventory, and purchasing processes. Comprehensive knowledge of safe food handling practices. Knowledge of local, state, and federal food safety regulations; familiarity with all relevant food safety and sanitation laws and regulations. Knowledge of food allergies, special and therapeutic diets: An understanding of common food allergies and ability to prepare and serve meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and allergies. Working knowledge of healthcare kitchen procedures and food service protocol. Strong knowledge of principles and procedures for instructing and supervising individuals and small groups. Strong leadership and team building skills: Ability to manage a team effectively, maintain an effective working relationships, resolve conflicts, and promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
