This position is responsible for preparing and serving food and beverages while providing outstanding customer service in a safe, welcoming, and community-focused environment. Staff must have prior food service experience and uphold high food safety standards. Key Responsibilities Greet and serve guests in a friendly and professional manner Prepare coffee, beverages, and light café items according to established guidelines Operate POS system and handle cash transactions accurately Review café inventory and report café needs Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of café, kitchen, and service areas Monitor proper food storage and temperature controls Follow all local and state health department regulations Complete opening and closing duties as assigned Support the YMCA mission by promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere Required Qualifications Minimum 1-2 years of food service experience (restaurant, café, catering, or similar) Valid ServSafe Certification (required) Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
