Job Description
Saint Joseph's College of Maine is hiring for the part-time position of Events Set-Up, Banquet Servers, Bartenders for the 2026 Stone Barn at Sebago Lake season!
Are you a highly motivated creative person that loves to work with others? Do you have a keen attention to detail and provide spectacular customer service? If you are driven to succeed in a demanding yet rewarding environment, we would like to hear from you! We are looking for great servers and set up crew to join our events staff at Saint Joseph's College, the Stone Barn and Xavier Hall. Summer hours are focused heavily on weddings and ticketed events. Positions are expected to start in May for training. Part time positions available with flexible scheduling based on booked events. Days, nights and weekends required. On call position to work as needed to assist with the execution of events. All training and certifications will be provided at no cost to employee.
Reading and understanding set up specifications for booked eventsWorking well with the other team members to complete a set upAssist with internal and external event setups to include chairs, tables, supplies, light food prep and plating, staging, signs, trash removal etc.
Reporting any damage or issue to the Agritourism Events ManagerTransporting products from kitchen and storage location to event locationServers & Bartenders - ensures the highest level of Customer Satisfaction by:
Interacting and filling customer requestsWorking well with the other team members to deliver the ultimate guest experienceListening to special requests and filling the request as neededExecuting the event to the highest standard, acting quickly to fix issues that may ariseMaintaining a professional presence in front of staff and guests at all timesEnsuring that guest remain unimpaired and safe - reporting any impaired behavior or guests to the Event SupervisorEnsuring that tasks and requests are completed with the proper level of urgencyReporting any safety hazard, service issue or guest complaint to the Event SupervisorServe-Safe certified or willing to obtain certification within 30 days of hireAdheres to the highest level of quality, service and cleanliness by:
Arriving to a shift on time and in uniformEnsuring all equipment is clean, in working condition and organized during an event and after an eventEnsuring floors are kept clean and free of waste, food, and spills, clearing plates, wiping counters, and keeping food servers full

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or GED equivalent is requiredCurrent Food Handler certification, or ablility to obtain certificationMust have a valid drivers license, complete a driver training program and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle RecordSCHEDULEPositions are expected to start in May with training. Part time positions available with flexible scheduling based on booked events. Days, nights and weekends required. On call position to work as needed to assist with the execution of events.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
