Job Title:

Food Handler Are you looking for a part-time job that allows you to make a difference in your community? Do you have a passion for food and helping others? If so, you might be the perfect candidate for our food production and meal packer position! As a food production and meal packer, you will be responsible for preparing and packing, delicious meals to our clients who are homebound, elderly, or disabled. You will work in a team environment with other staff to ensure that our meals meet the highest quality, safety, and hygiene standards. The hours for this position are Monday to Friday, 5 hours daily, from 11:00 pm to 4:00 pm. No evening, weekend, or holiday work is required. Food experience is preferred, but not essential, must be able to pass a background check. Responsibilities Follow the recipes and instructions provided by the chef or supervisor to prepare meals according to the menu and dietary requirements of the clients. Ensure that the food is stored, handled, and cooked in a safe and sanitary manner, following the food safety standards and regulations. Pack the meals in appropriate containers and label them with the correct name

•Report any issues, feedback, or concerns from the clients to the supervisor or manager.

•Clean and sanitize the kitchen equipment, utensils, and work area after each shift.

Qualifications:

A food handler certificate or willingness to obtain one within a specified time. Experience in food preparation, cooking, or catering is preferred, but not required. Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and dietary guidelines accurately and consistently. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift, carry, and deliver up to 30 pounds of food and equipment. Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Respect for the privacy, dignity, and preferences of the clients.
