Busser - Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Busser to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role is essential to keeping the dining room clean, organized, and ready for guests at all times. Bussers support the front-of-house team by maintaining table readiness, cleanliness, guest comfort, and assisting with dining room operations as needed to ensure a safe and smooth guest experience. Key Responsibilities Clear, reset, and maintain tables to ensure they are clean, organized, and guest-ready Polish dishes, glassware, and utensils as needed Provide guest support by assisting with beverages or food items when necessary Assist with table and grill-area support tasks as needed, including replacing or handling grill components and helping maintain safe cooking conditions Remain attentive to potential safety issues at tables, including excessive heat, smoke, or flare-ups, and promptly notify servers or management when intervention is needed Coordinate with dishwashers to ensure timely return of clean dishes, utensils, and tableware Communicate clearly with dishwashing staff regarding dish flow, shortages, or urgent needs during service Maintain cleanliness throughout the dining area, including tables, floors, and service stations Support dining room setup and breakdown for large parties or special events Communicate clearly with servers and other team members to support smooth service Respond politely and promptly to basic guest needs or questions Help maintain a positive, welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant Perform other related duties as assigned Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 40 pounds (e.g., bus tubs, chairs, supplies) Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and move quickly throughout the dining area Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail Requirements Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred, but not required Strong work ethic and attention to detail Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented attitude with a focus on guest experience and safety Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends Qualifications Bussing or restaurant support experience preferred Food Handler Certification Must be authorized to work in the
