Job Overview We are seeking a motivated Part Time Meat Clerk to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and handling meat products with precision and care. Your expertise in food safety, meat processing, and product presentation will ensure our customers receive high-quality goods. Responsibilities Assist customers by answering questions about meat products and offering culinary suggestions Prepare and package meat items using proper slicing, trimming, and cutting techniques Operate meat processing machines safely and efficiently to ensure quality standards are met Maintain cleanliness by following food safety sanitizing procedures and ensuring all work areas are hygienic Conduct visual inspections for quality control, checking for freshness and proper appearance of perishable goods Manage meat displays by organizing products attractively and restocking as needed Follow food safety management protocols to handle perishable goods responsibly and minimize waste Requirements Previous experience in food production, food preparation, or retail store environments is preferred Knowledge of butchery, meat cutting, slicing techniques, and knife skills Experience operating meat processing machines and handling fish is a plus Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations Basic math skills for weighing, pricing, and inventory management Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse shoppers Kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not required Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed Join us as a Part Time Meat Clerk to bring your passion for food and customer service into a thriving retail setting.
