Overview Join our dynamic team as a Butcher and become a vital part of our food industry operations! In this role, you will be responsible for breaking down whole Beef carcasses, while ensuring strict adherence to food safety standards. Your expertise in food handling, knife skills, and meat cutting will help deliver fresh, safe, and delicious products to our customers. Hours:
M-F:
8a - 3p (hours may vary per week) Duties Perform meat processing, including breaking down carcasses, trimming, slicing, and portioning using specialized meat processing machines and knives Prepare food items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and presentation Operate slicing techniques efficiently to maximize yield and minimize waste Maintain rigorous food safety sanitizing procedures throughout all stages of food handling and preparation Conduct visual inspections for quality control, ensuring all products meet safety and quality benchmarks Experience Prior experience in food production or food preparation within a retail store setting is highly preferred Hands-on experience with meat processing machines, knife skills, and meat cutting techniques is essential Knowledge of food safety management practices, sanitizing procedures, and handling perishable goods is required Familiarity with meat cutting techniques will be advantageous Basic math skills for weight measurement, portioning, and inventory management are necessary Previous work in the food industry or retail store environment demonstrating excellent customer service skills is a plus Ability to follow detailed instructions, maintain cleanliness standards, and work efficiently in a team-oriented setting Embark on a rewarding journey where your skills contribute directly to delivering top-quality food products.
