This is an exceptional opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding dining experiences for weddings, corporate events, galas, fundraisers, and private celebrations. We host events ranging from 30 to 600 guests, and we are looking for a chef who can uphold our reputation for quality, consistency, and hospitality while elevating our culinary program. Responsibilities Lead all culinary operations for high-volume events, ensuring exceptional quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction. Execute a variety of service styles including plated meals, buffets, family-style service, stations, and cocktail receptions. Develop seasonal, event-driven menus that align with Dante Event Center's standards and client expectations. Manage purchasing, vendor relationships, inventory, and food cost controls with a focus on efficiency and profitability. Hire, train, coach, and schedule kitchen staff; foster a positive, professional kitchen culture. Ensure strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and all health department regulations. Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient kitchen operation that supports seamless event execution. Collaborate closely with management, banquet leadership, and event coordinators to ensure flawless service. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning for culinary operations. Demonstrate professionalism, calmness, and leadership during high-volume service periods. Qualifications Executive Chef or Sous Chef experience in banquet, catering, hotel, country club, restaurant, or event venue operations. Proven ability to produce high-quality meals for events of 200+ guests . Strong leadership skills with experience developing and managing kitchen teams. Expertise in purchasing, inventory management, food costing, and menu development. Thorough knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Hands-on approach with a commitment to consistency, quality, and guest satisfaction. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will be: A hands-on leader who works alongside the team.
