Job Description

This position is responsible for ensuring that the preparation and presentation of meals and snacks to clients, families and guests meets Newport Healthcare's standard of culinary excellence.
Essential Duties:
Ensure overall kitchen cleanliness including refrigerators, freezers, ovens, floor, dishes after each meal and food prep per Department of Public Health Standards. Ensure the safety of clients with dietary restrictions and/or preferences. Assist in the preparation and presentation of lunch, dinner, and snacks daily. Quality check all meals and snacks served during shift. Ensure recipes are produced accurately and efficiently. Resourcefully solve any culinary related issues that arise during shift, and/or follow proper chain of command. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Three - five years of experience with increasing levels of responsibility in various kitchen settings required. State Food Safety Certification preferred.
