Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, with experience in fine dining and catering environments. As a Sous Chef, you will assist in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety while leading a team of culinary professionals. Duties Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and development, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance. Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to enhance their skills and performance. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices. Coordinate banquet services and catering events, ensuring timely delivery of meals. Monitor kitchen operations to ensure efficiency during service periods. Collaborate with the front-of-house staff to provide an exceptional dining experience for guests. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area. Qualifications Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the food industry. Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and shift management. Knowledge of food service management principles, including inventory management and menu planning. Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred. Familiarity with dietary department practices is a plus. Excellent cooking skills with an emphasis on fine dining techniques. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen and service staff.
