About the
Role:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Culinary Director/Manager to lead and inspire our culinary arts program for students from PreK through High School in Franklin Square, NY. This is a unique opportunity to shape the next generation of culinary talent by building a dynamic, hands-on curriculum across all grade levels. Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive culinary arts curriculum for PreK through High School students Manage and mentor culinary arts instructors and kitchen staff across multiple grade levels Ensure kitchen facilities, equipment, and food inventory are properly maintained and stocked Coordinate culinary events, demonstrations, and student showcases throughout the school year Enforce food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards in compliance with health regulations Collaborate with school administration to align culinary programming with educational goals and budgets Evaluate student progress and support age-appropriate skill development in culinary techniques
Requirements:
Proven experience in culinary arts education, food service management, or a related field Strong leadership and team management skills with experience supervising staff ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety credential required Ability to develop age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans for diverse grade levels Excellent communication and organizational skills Culinary degree or equivalent professional culinary experience preferred Passion for working with children and young adults in an educational environment
