About the
Role:
We are looking for a passionate and creative Culinary Baking Teacher to join our PreK-High School Culinary Arts program in Garden City, NY! This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to inspire the next generation of bakers and culinary artists across all grade levels. Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging baking and pastry arts lessons tailored to PreK through High School students Teach foundational and advanced baking techniques including bread making, cake decorating, and pastry preparation Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized culinary classroom and kitchen environment Assess and evaluate student progress through hands-on baking projects and demonstrations Develop age-appropriate curriculum aligned with culinary arts education standards Introduce students to food safety, sanitation, and proper kitchen equipment usage Foster creativity, teamwork, and a love of culinary arts in students of all ages
Requirements:
Experience in baking, pastry arts, or a related culinary field Prior teaching or instructional experience, preferably in a K-12 or culinary education setting Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food science fundamentals Ability to differentiate instruction for a wide range of age groups and skill levels Food Handler's Certification or ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain) Excellent classroom management and communication skills Passion for mentoring young students and inspiring a lifelong love of cooking and baking
