Job Description
Electric City Hospitality, parent company for The Broken Inn, The Horses Lounge, The Comedy Works and The Parlor at Schenectady Municipal Golf Course is seeking a chef to join our team. You must have a great attitude and enjoy working in a fast paced kitchen environment. Experience required, as is a commitment to putting out excellent food, being creative with new dishes, and keeping our kitchen safe and clean. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation and cooking. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations. Follow all food safety and handling guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our guests. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Help in inventory management, including tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels. Participate in menu planning and development as needed. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and report any issues to management. Qualifications Previous experience required. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Proficient in various cooking techniques, knife skills, and food preparation methods. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
