Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Chef/Cook to join our vibrant culinary team! In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes that delight our guests and uphold our restaurant's reputation for excellence. You will oversee food production, ensure food safety standards are met, and contribute to a positive, energetic kitchen environment. Your leadership skills and culinary expertise will help maintain smooth kitchen operations, manage inventory, and support team members in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision, creativity, and consistency, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards. Lead food preparation activities while maintaining strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and hygiene regulations. Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance on food handling, cooking techniques, and presentation standards. Manage inventory control and food management processes to minimize waste and optimize cost control. Oversee catering events, banquet services, and special functions to deliver exceptional service aligned with client expectations. Collaborate with the culinary team on menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal updates to keep offerings fresh and exciting. Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment by enforcing sanitation protocols and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Assist in managing kitchen operations including shift management, food service management, and restaurant or hospitality environment oversight. Support the dietary department by preparing specialized meals that meet dietary restrictions or nutritional guidelines when required. Foster a positive team atmosphere by supervising staff effectively, encouraging teamwork, and managing performance to ensure high morale. Experience Proven culinary experience in fine dining environments or similar high-end hospitality settings. Extensive background in food production, food handling, and kitchen management within the food industry. Demonstrated supervisory experience leading kitchen teams or managing shifts in a fast-paced restaurant or catering operation. Familiarity with banquet experience, catering services, or large-scale event preparation is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of food safety practices, sanitizing procedures, inventory management, and cost control strategies. Experience in menu planning, food service management, and restaurant operations is preferred. Leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams while maintaining high standards of quality and service excellence. Knowledge of bartending or beverage service is a plus but not required; however, hospitality experience is essential for success in this role.
