Job Description

A well-established fine dining restaurant is seeking a Sous Chef to join its culinary leadership team. We are looking for a hands-on chef who leads with positivity, communicates effectively, and enjoys mentoring and developing. Working closely with the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef will oversee daily kitchen operations, maintain exceptional culinary standards, and ensure every service is executed with consistency and excellence. This role is ideal for a chef who is equally comfortable leading from the line as they are managing inventory and controlling costs. Sous Chef Benefits & Compensation Benefit package 2 weeks paid time off Dining discounts Opportunity for growth within a chef-driven restaurant Sous Chef Requirements & Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of kitchen management experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fine dining kitchen Proven ability to lead, train, and mentor cooks in a positive, professional manner Experience with ordering, receiving, inventory management, and maintaining food costs Ability to confidently work a station during service while leading the kitchen Strong knowledge of prep, mise en place, station management, and execution of recipes to the highest standards Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills Reliable, professional, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Sous Chef Preferred Background & Skills Familiarity with Italian cuisine preferred, but not required Fine dining experience required Strong organizational skills with the ability to keep kitchen operations running efficiently Experience leading service in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment Strong attention to detail with a commitment to consistency, quality, and hospitality Ability to remain calm under pressure while fostering a collaborative, positive kitchen culture
