Role:
Join the Primrose School of Mt. Juliet as our School Chef, where you'll play a vital role in nourishing young minds with healthy and delicious meals. We are looking for a passionate culinary professional who loves working with children and is committed to promoting wholesome eating habits in a fun and engaging environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks for children, adhering to dietary guidelines. Plan weekly menus that cater to various dietary needs and preferences. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment. Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure freshness. Collaborate with teachers to incorporate food education into the curriculum. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and preparation. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance culinary skills.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a culinary or food service role, preferably in an educational setting. Knowledge of nutrition and dietary guidelines for children. Food Handler's Certification or willingness to obtain one. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Passion for cooking and enthusiasm for working with young children. Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor. Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules.
