Job Description

Northbound Treatment Services is a nationally recognized private, residential drug and alcohol addiction treatment program for adults. Accredited by The Joint Commission, Northbound meets the highest quality standards for behavioral health and client care. Northbound is looking for a Clinical Support Specialist (Noc Shift) to support Detox and Residential clients within our treatment center for substance abuse and dual diagnosis. •Candidates must have at least one year of continuous sobriety to be considered•
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Conduct searches on clients, client property, and living spaces when needed; inventory client personal property with clients upon intakes; utilize intervention and communication skills in working with clients, their families, and significant others on a daily basis and in crisis. Ensure that the client activity and treatment schedule is adhered to and programming hours are accounted for. Responsible for the cleanliness of assigned property inside and out by re-stocking items, following up client chores, assisting them, and if necessary, completing client chores. Conduct drug and alcohol testing when required; oversee the self-administration of client medications, and medication audits when assigned. Orient new clients to the property and diligently monitor clients at all times during shift and overnight and provide behavioral interventions through write-ups if necessary. Establish and maintain a peer support relationship with clients and act as a role model, maintain a hopeful and positive attitude in problem solving and coping with the struggles of addiction and mental health. Ensure resident/participant, staff, volunteer, and vendor safety is adhered to at all times; must dress appropriately with a collared shirt, nice pants or shorts, and hair must be neat with a clean-shaven face or trimmed beard/mustache (if applicable).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalency test, familiarity with the twelve step program of recovery, and if in recovery, a minimum one year continuous sobriety with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
