Job Description
The Way Concierge Medicine | Lakewood Ranch, FL Full-time | On-site | Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. $20.00-$29.00 per hour This is not volume. This is relationship. The Way Concierge Medicine is a physician-owned concierge medical practice built around time, relationships, exceptional clinical care, and a highly personalized patient experience. We are looking for an experienced Medical Assistant who is clinically confident, dependable, organized, and genuinely enjoys taking care of people. This is not a traditional high-volume medical office. You will work closely with the physician, know the patients you serve, help anticipate their needs, and play an important role in keeping the practice running smoothly. This is a hands-on Medical Assistant position with front-office and patient-coordination responsibilities. The right person will be comfortable moving between clinical care, patient service, and practice operations throughout the day.
What You'll Do:
Clinical Support:
Welcome and room patients while creating a calm, professional experience Obtain and accurately document vital signs, histories, medications, and other clinical information Perform phlebotomy and coordinate specimen collection, labeling, processing, and handling Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing Assist with injections, vaccinations, medication administration, wound care, and minor procedures within Medical Assistant scope Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and supplies Support the physician during visits and anticipate clinical needs Maintain accurate electronic health record documentation Track testing, referrals, prescriptions, results, and other clinical follow-up so important items do not fall through the cracksFront Office & Patient Coordination:
Manage scheduling, confirmations, changes, and follow-up appointments Handle patient check-in and check-out Answer calls, messages, and patient inquiries promptly and professionally Coordinate referrals, outside records, testing, prescriptions, and communication with other healthcare organizations Assist with insurance verification, prior authorizations, billing-related questions, and administrative follow-up as needed Request, organize, scan, and maintain medical records and practice documentation Protect patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretionPatient Experience:
Welcome patients warmly and help create a personalized, high-touch experience Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after appointments Anticipate patient preferences and needs whenever possible Maintain a polished, clean, inviting, and organized office environment Provide attentive service without making patients feel rushed or processed Follow through on patient requests with urgency, accuracy, and carePractice & Physician Support:
Help create capacity for the physician by organizing priorities, anticipating needs, and closing the loop on outstanding items Keep clinical and front-office workflows moving smoothly Identify problems before they become larger issues Create and improve practical systems, checklists, and workflows as the practice grows Communicate proactively rather than waiting to be asked Pitch in wherever appropriate to support the practice and its patients Who We're Looking For Previous hands-on Medical Assistant experience is required. You should be currently comfortable performing core MA responsibilities including: Phlebotomy EKGs Injections and vaccinations Vital signs Medication reconciliation Specimen handling Basic clinical procedures Electronic health records Patient scheduling and communication Medical Assistant education, training, or credential is required. Experience in primary care, internal medicine, family medicine, urgent care, dermatology, concierge medicine, direct primary care, executive health, wellness, or another hands-on outpatient setting is especially relevant. Concierge medicine experience is helpful, but not required. We can teach the model. We are looking for someone who already understands excellent clinical care, exceptional service, and follow-through. $20.00-$29.00 per hour , based on experience, demonstrated clinical capability, and overall fit. Candidates at the upper end of the range should be able to step into the role with minimal training and independently perform the core clinical responsibilities of an experienced Medical Assistant.Benefits include:
