: Chankaska Creek Ranch Winery and Distillery is a vineyard, winery and distillery located in Southern Minnesota. The grounds host four outdoor event spaces and multiple indoor event spaces. The winery produces the finest cold-climate wine and craft spirits through focused excellence. Chankaska Creek Ranch Winery and Distillery is searching for an events concierge with coordinating skills and attention to detail. Qualified candidates will carry experience is preferred in operating and planning events. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. The position requires a person with high-energy and creativity who must also have a strong desire to provide and execute first class hospitality. The candidate must have a keen eye for trends and development in the wedding and events industry and capability of and excelling in planning and managing events with clients and staff. We believe today's business environment requires an individual that leads by example, understands business operations, and never loses focus on achieving outstanding results that promote our brand and our distinctive culture. This position requires the availability to work flexible hours and weekends.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
:Job Responsibilities:
- Assume all communication with clients to plan and execute their event after booking stage is completed
- Coordinate services for events, such as set-up, take-down and shut down of the venue site, facilities, catering, signage, displays, special needs requirements and event security. (Responsible for coordination, planning. logistics and traffic control of all events)
- Assist and coordinate closely with caterers and vendors
- Maintain SOP's for various accounts/clients
- Detail all Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), including and not limited to layouts, food and beverage, set up, vendor assistance and timeline for various accounts/clients
- Assures that the event center is stocked and prepared for daily service
- Knowledgeable on wine and beverage education
- Attends tasting notes meetings to keep up to date on latest vintages
- Conduct beverage consultations with clients for applicable events
- Take responsibility and lead in all set up, tear down, cleaning and sanitation of all event spaces
- Coordinate guest/client needs for any event
- Conduct tours of the facility
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients
- Manage various accounts/clients and maintain well-organized event records
- Coordinate and assure all invoicing and payments are done in a timely manner
- Uphold client event agreements
- Build and maintain working relationships with internal and external partners
- Listen carefully to needs and preferences of Director of Events
- Maintain a cooperative attitude with Director of Events and provide reports that are accurate and timely
- Complete administrative tasks supporting the Event Operations Coordinator and Director of Events
- Lead and direct event staff during an event and act as manager on duty
- Deals with issues including customer complaints, employee complaints and incidents and any other issues arising
- Represent Chankaska at trade shows and other promotional events
- Project a professional appearance while being resourceful, friendly, and persistent with event decision makers
- Represent company brand professionally, graciously, and enthusiastically
- Participate in weekly departmental meetings
- Must be available and willing to work evenings and weekends
- Ability to stand on one's feet for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs
JOB SPECIFICATION
:Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Experience with coordinating both large and small special events
- Excellence in creating and providing guest experiences in keeping with CCRW core values and brand image
- Proven leadership, management, and general business acumen
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills demonstrated by the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Ability to focus on multiple tasks and deadlines and effectively prioritize and manage them

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and EventPro (or other event management software) required,
- Ability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all level of employees in a team-oriented environment
- Other critical skills include planning & organizing; problem identification/resolution, multi-tasking, follow-through skills to bring tasks to closure in a timely manner, priority setting, and having a sense of urgency in accomplishing tasks in a timely manner
- Must be available and willing to work evenings and weekends; required
- Must be willing to travel on behalf of the company
- Ability to stand on one's feet for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs.
- Must have a valid driver's license
Pay:
$13.00 - $16.00 per hourWork Location:
