We are a small, home-like memory care community looking for an energetic, compassionate, and organized Engagement Specialist to join our team. This is a unique position that combines the hospitality and organization of a receptionist/front desk professional with the creativity and personal connection of an assistant activities coordinator. You'll often be the first friendly face families and visitors see, while also spending meaningful time with our elders and helping make each day engaging and enjoyable. What You'll Do Welcome & Support Greet elders, families, visitors, and guests with warmth and professionalism Answer and direct phone calls and respond to questions Help create a welcoming, hospitality-focused environment Receive mail and packages Assist with general administrative and office tasks Support the Executive Director and other team members as needed Engage & Connect Work alongside our Activities Director to support daily elder activities and programs Encourage elders to participate and help them feel included Spend one-on-one time engaging with elders Help prepare and set up activities, celebrations, and special events Bring energy, creativity, patience, and positivity to our elders' daily lives Who We're Looking For The right person for this position is someone who can comfortably move between answering a phone, welcoming a family, helping with an office task, and sitting down with an elder for an activity or conversation. You may be a great fit if you are: Warm, friendly, and genuinely enjoy helping people Patient and compassionate, especially with older adults Dependable and organized Comfortable multitasking and changing priorities throughout the day Professional when interacting with families, visitors, and coworkers Creative and enthusiastic about activities and resident engagement Comfortable using phones, computers, email, and basic office programs A team player who is willing to jump in wherever needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Customer service, hospitality, senior living, healthcare, activities, or administrative experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to successfully complete required background and employment screenings Flexibility to occasionally work evenings, weekends, or holidays for scheduled events or community needs Why This Role Is Different We are a small memory care home, so this isn't a position where you'll spend your entire day sitting behind a front desk.
