About The Nickel Hotel The Nickel Hotel is a design ‑ forward boutique hotel located on Upper King Street in Charleston's vibrant Cannon borough neighborhood. Featuring 50 elegantly appointed rooms and suites, a lush interior courtyard, and two signature bars — the intimate Bar Daniel and the rooftop Rosemary Rose — the hotel blends calm, modern Southern style with thoughtful amenities like bike share, a stocked pantry, and serene residential ‑ inspired interiors. It's a refined home base for exploring Charleston, offering skyline views, warm service, and an atmosphere centered on time well spent. Position Overview The Nickel Hotel is seeking a flexible, attentive, and highly reliable Front Desk Concierge to support our guests and property. This role is ideal for someone who excels in guest service, maintains a polished and professional presence, and can confidently handle both hospitality and operational tasks. As the first point of contact in the guest experience, you'll ensure the safety, comfort, and seamless experience of all guests throughout. Key Responsibilities Welcome and assist guests with warmth, professionalism, and efficiency Manage check ‑ ins, check ‑ outs, and reservation inquiries Respond promptly to guest requests, questions, and concerns Monitor building access and maintain a secure, calm environment Conduct property walkthroughs and report any maintenance or safety issues Handle phone calls, emails, and guest communications Maintain accurate records, logs, and daily reports Support light administrative tasks and prepare materials for the team Ensure the lobby and front desk areas remain clean, organized, and guest ‑ ready Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and management as needed Qualifications 1+ year of front desk, concierge, or guest ‑ service experience (hotel or luxury residential preferred) Strong communication skills and a naturally warm, guest ‑ focused demeanor Ability to remain composed, professional, and attentive during quiet or high ‑ pressure moments Comfortable working independently and making sound decisions Basic proficiency with reservation systems and front ‑ office software Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Flexible schedule with availability for overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays What We Offer Competitive hourly pay Opportunities for growth within a dynamic hospitality group A collaborative, design ‑ driven work environment Employee dining perks across Method Co. properties Sick time & vacation Health, vision, and dental benefits
