Bring that gift to eye care. If you've worked in a great restaurant, hotel, salon, coffee shop, or retail floor, you know the moment: a guest walks in unsure or stressed, and by the time they leave, they're smiling because of you. That moment is this job. At Specialty Eye, our technicians are Vision Concierges. You own each patient's experience from the first hello to "see you next time." We will teach you the eye care. What we can't teach is warmth, presence, and pride in getting the details right. That's what we're hiring for. No optometry or medical experience needed. We train you, and training is paid. Already an optometric or ophthalmic technician? You'll hit the ground running, and we especially want to hear from you. Your pay will reflect your experience. Who Thrives Here People tell you you're the best part of their visit You notice the little things (the nervous patient, the parent juggling two kids) and you act on them You want to be great at something and build a career, not just work a shift You're dependable . People count on you, and you like it that way You're comfortable with technology and excited to learn more Your background might be hospitality, fine dining, hotels, luxury or specialty retail, salon and spa, fitness, customer success, front desk, or medical assisting Your Day Welcome patients by name and make them feel expected, not processed Guide them through each step of their visit so nothing feels confusing Perform eye testing and pretesting on advanced diagnostic technology (we'll train you) Work alongside the doctor during exams and scribe their recommendations Walk patients through their plan and next steps with clarity and confidence Help patients choose eyewear and lenses they'll love Keep rooms and equipment spotless so every visit starts right Why It Matters Our patients include children whose eyesight we're protecting as they grow, people who've struggled with dry eye for years, patients who need specialty contact lenses to see clearly, and patients recovering from concussion. You'll be part of changing their lives, and you'll see it happen. What We Offer $22 to $25 per hour during training, with pay increases as your skills grow Monday through Friday schedule (weekends are rare like maybe 1-2 a year) Full time, 36+ hours per week Health benefits and eyecare coverage Paid time off and sick pay 401(k) Paid training and a real path to grow Uniform stipend Discounts on eye care products and services A team that lives its values(GIFTS): Generosity, Initiative, Faithfulness, Teamwork, Simplicity About Specialty Eye Specialty Eye is an advanced eye care practice in Kirkland and Bellevue, WA, on a mission to enrich people's lives so they can succeed to their greatest potential.
