Full-Time About the Position We are seeking a reliable and motivated Hospital Cook to join our food services team in Maumelle. The Cook will work under the supervision of the Manager and Director of Food Services to prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals and snacks for clients while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in preparing quality meals while following food safety and nutritional standards. Responsibilities Prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals and snacks for clients each day. Assist with planning menus that meet USDA nutritional standards. Prepare and deliver meals on schedule to assigned facilities or units. Assist with ordering food and kitchen supplies and communicate supply needs to management. Maintain accurate production records and meal counts. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen and food storage areas in accordance with USDA and infection control standards. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and client safety regulations. Communicate schedule changes, menu changes, and other important information to supervisors. Accept and implement feedback and direction from supervisors. Provide coverage when other food service employees are absent due to sick leave or scheduled time off. Check email regularly and respond to inquiries from supervisors or designated staff. Maintain appropriate professional boundaries when interacting with clients and follow all assigned responsibilities and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager or Director of Food Services. Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older . High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant experience or qualifications may be considered in place of education. Previous experience in food preparation, food service, purchasing, or kitchen operations preferred. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail. Good verbal and written communication skills. Must be comfortable using a telephone and basic computer functions, including email and entering/retrieving information. Must have adequate visual and auditory ability to perform job duties effectively. Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods and frequently walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and use hands and fingers to handle tools, equipment, and food supplies. Must be able to communicate effectively, read instructions, and complete required documentation. Must successfully pass a drug test and background check. Why Join Us?
