Venus Spirits, a renowned distillery, tasting room, and multiple restaurants located in Santa Cruz and Aptos, is now hiring line cooks for our Aptos location. We are currently accepting applications and looking for dedicated individuals to join our team.

Job Summary:

As a member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and presentation of our dishes. Your duties will include preparing ingredients, cooking meals, checking ingredient freshness, arranging and garnishing dishes, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Key Responsibilities:

Meal Preparation:

Weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients to prepare delicious meals.

Cooking:

Cooking dishes to perfection, following recipes, and ensuring timely service.

Freshness Checks:

Regularly checking ingredients for freshness and quality.

Presentation:

Arranging and garnishing dishes to enhance their visual appeal.

Kitchen Organization:

Participating in regular and deep cleaning of the kitchen and ensuring everything is organized.

Collaboration:

Working closely with other kitchen staff and management to maintain high standards.

Job Types:

Venus Spirits currently produces certified organic, small-batch spirits including Wayward Whiskey, Venus Spirits Gin, Aquavit, Vodka, El Ladrón Blue Agave Spirits, and a line of Ready To Drink Canned Cocktails. Venus Cocktails and Kitchen Westside opened in August of 2020. The 100-seat restaurant is focused around a cocktail experience utilizing various Venus Spirits distilled spirits and is complemented by an assortment of from-scratch snacks, small plates, fresh salads, and sharable entrees. In July 2023, we proudly launched our second location, Venus Spirits Cocktails & Kitchen Beachside, in the iconic Rio Del Mar area. Offering a taste of California coastal cuisine, our goal is to bring the essence of Venus to a new part of town.
