Full Job Description Summary:
In keeping with our organization's tradition, we seek to enhance the quality of life and holistic growth of older persons by providing high quality service in a cheerful, timely manner and by communicating, coordinating and cooperating with others to attain goals. We are looking for a PRN/PT Cook who is available on the weekends. As a Dietary Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our residents receive nutritious and appetizing meals.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing and cooking meals according to dietary guidelines and restrictions Managing food inventory and kitchen supplies Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen Collaborating with the dietary team to plan and execute menus Ensuring all meals are prepared safely and to the highest quality standards
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals and snacks according to the dietary needs and preferences of our residents Plan and execute menus that meet nutritional guidelines and resident preferences Ensure all meals are prepared safely, maintaining proper food handling and sanitation practices Manage food inventory, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including cleaning equipment and work areas
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience as a cook in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Ability to plan and prepare nutritious and appealing meals
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 30.0 per week
