OCEAN BOWL
is looking for a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Prep Team Member who is interested in a stable, long-term position and growing with our team. Our Prep Team is essential to the quality of every bowl we serve. You will prepare and organize fresh ingredients while maintaining our standards for quality, consistency, cleanliness, food safety, and presentation . We believe every ingredient and every detail matters . We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, works efficiently, supports their teammates, and helps us provide the best experience for every guest. Responsibilities Prepare, cut, portion, mix, and organize ingredients according to company recipes and standards. Handle fresh fish, produce, sauces, toppings, and other ingredients with care. Follow proper food safety, sanitation, labeling, dating, storage, and FIFO procedures. Maintain consistent portions and quality while helping minimize unnecessary food waste. Keep prep areas, equipment, refrigeration, and storage areas clean and organized. Monitor ingredient levels and communicate prep needs with managers and team members. Safely operate kitchen and food-preparation equipment after proper training. Assist with stocking, cleaning, opening, and closing duties as needed. Work collaboratively and respectfully with the entire team. What We're Looking For Dependable, punctual, and responsible. Interested in long-term employment and growth . Previous kitchen or food-prep experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate . Food Handler Card A California Food Handler Card is required for this position. Candidates who do not currently have one may still be considered and will be provided the opportunity to obtain it in accordance with California requirements. Physical Requirements Must be able to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, performing repetitive prep tasks, and safely lifting and carrying ingredients and supplies as required.
