Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our healthcare team, supporting the nutritional needs of our residents in a vibrant assisted living or nursing home environment. This vital role involves preparing and serving nutritious meals, assisting with dietary requirements, and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming dining experience for our residents. Duties Cook, meal preparation and food production following dietary guidelines and safety standards Serve meals to residents with courtesy and professionalism, adhering to specific dietary requirements Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas through sanitation, cleaning, and bussing tasks Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and food handling tools Ensure compliance with workplace safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe lifting practices Collaborate with nursing staff to accommodate special diets and assist with feeding residents when necessary Manage time effectively to ensure timely meal service while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation Requirements Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry preferred Knowledge of dietary requirements for geriatric patients and familiarity with dietetics principles Experience with food handling, preparation, serving, and sanitation procedures Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment Basic math skills for portion control and inventory management Excellent customer service skills with a caring attitude towards residents Manual handling certification or willingness to learn safe lifting practices CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire Understanding of workplace safety protocols including PPE use and sanitation standards Ability to work well within a team while maintaining attention to detail in food safety practices Join us in creating a warm, safe, and nourishing environment for our residents. Pay:
