Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Direct Hire A leadership role is available for an experienced pharmacist with a focus on sterile compounding and infusion pharmacy services. This position is based in Fort White, FL, and offers a direct hire opportunity for pharmacists skilled in both clinical and operational pharmacy management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret, verify, and process physician medication orders with accuracy.
  
• Perform and oversee sterile compounding in compliance with USP and USP standards.
  
• Conduct final verification of compounded sterile preparations, ensuring maximum patient safety.
  
• Review medication profiles for allergies, interactions, dosing, and compatibility.
  
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
  
• Provide supervision, mentoring, and leadership to pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff.
  
• Ensure cleanroom integrity, maintain aseptic technique, and monitor environmental conditions.
  
• Manage quality assurance, medication safety protocols, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  
• Maintain and audit compounding, batch records, quality documentation, and regulatory compliance.
  
• Oversee inventory management including controlled substances and daily pharmacy operations.
  
• Develop, update, and maintain pharmacy policies, procedures, and staff training programs.
  
• Lead and actively participate in staff meetings and foster a culture of compliance and safety.
  
• Adhere strictly to OSHA, DEA, State Board of Pharmacy, and company policies and ethics.
  
• Follow safety regulations, consistently use appropriate PPE, and maintain a safe work environment.
  
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support pharmacy operations.

Qualifications /

Desired Experience:

• Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing.
  
• 3-5 years of experience in hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding.
  
• Strong understanding of

USP , USP

, DEA, OSHA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations.

• Proven pharmacy management experience with leadership skills.
  
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management abilities.
  
• Experience in home infusion, hospital, or oncology infusion pharmacy within the last 3-5 years preferred.
  
• Ability to work efficiently in a sterile compounding environment.

Fort White, FL This is a direct hire role featuring a low volume workflow averaging approximately 100 prescriptions daily and chemotherapy compounding of 15-20 preparations per day.
