Join Our Kitchen Team:
Cheeca Lodge & Spa, a prestigious resort in Islamorada, is seeking a skilled Cook to enhance our culinary team. In this role, you'll contribute to our renowned dining experiences, which include the award-winning Atlantic's Edge Restaurant, Mia Cucina Italian Kitchen, room service, and our lively tiki bars. This is your opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a vibrant and diverse kitchen environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen area, adhering to Board of Health standards. Follow precise directions for food preparation to ensure quality and consistency in presentation. Aim for perfection in preparing dishes, focusing on uniform presentation and efficient waste management. Participate in team briefings to stay up-to-date with kitchen objectives and standards. Maintain a clean, professional appearance and a friendly, cheerful demeanor, even in high-pressure situations. Effective communication in English and the ability to work well under pressure.
Training:
Complete training in safe lifting procedures and kitchen safety protocols.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred; culinary degree is a plus but not mandatory. 1-2 years of experience in a culinary role. Must be at least 18 years of age. Passion for the culinary arts and a commitment to excellence. Benefits for
