Duties Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring according to recipe specifications Assist with meal assembly and plating to ensure presentation standards are met Support cooking processes by following established procedures and safety guidelines Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards Organize and stock supplies efficiently to facilitate smooth kitchen operations Follow menu plans and assist with portion control during food preparation Support catering events or special functions as needed, ensuring timely delivery of quality dishes Experience Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable Hands-on experience with food preparation, cooking, and food handling in a restaurant or food industry setting Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety protocols Skilled in knife handling and culinary techniques for efficient meal assembly Familiarity with kitchen equipment and sanitation standards required for food service environments Experience with catering or serving in a fast-paced restaurant setting is a plus Strong understanding of food industry best practices related to safety, hygiene, and quality assurance Embark on a rewarding journey where your culinary talents make a real difference!
