Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards. Collaborate with the dietary team to plan menus that meet the nutritional needs of residents. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as needed. Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident inquiries regarding meals and dietary options. Participate in regular staff meetings to discuss menu planning, resident feedback, and operational improvements. Skills Proven experience in food service, preferably within a healthcare or assisted living environment. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards. Ability to effectively handle food preparation tasks while maintaining a clean workspace. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff alike. Familiarity with dietary restrictions and special meal requirements is highly desirable. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced kitchen setting. Attention to detail, particularly regarding portion control, presentation, and nutritional value of meals.
Pay:
$14.00 - $15.00 per hour
