Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety standards. As a vital member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role offers an opportunity to showcase culinary talents, contribute to menu execution, and support the overall dining experience. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and other culinary tools. Assist in menu planning and ingredient preparation to ensure timely meal service. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations. Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality standards are met at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service flow. Support dietary department needs by understanding dietary restrictions and assisting with special meal requests when necessary. Skills Proven experience in food preparation within restaurant or food service environments. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques including knife skills, slicing methods, and cooking processes. Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively. Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal presentation standards. Understanding of food safety management practices and sanitation protocols. Ability to communicate clearly with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Previous dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus, along with catering experience.
