Job Description

Cook Supervisor
  • Westminster, MD The Role at a Glance We are looking for an experienced Cook Supervisor to join our correctional facility kitchen team in Westminster, MD .
In this role, you will supervise and support the kitchen team while ensuring meals are prepared safely, efficiently, and according to established quality and sanitation standards. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced environment where your culinary experience and leadership skills will make a difference every day. What You'll Be Doing Supervise, coordinate, and support kitchen employees to ensure efficient daily operations. Instruct and train employees on food preparation, service, sanitation, and safety procedures. Ensure meals are prepared and served on time. Monitor food portions, appearance, temperature, and overall quality. Ensure established food safety, sanitation, and culinary standards are followed. Assist with food preparation and kitchen operations as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Provide leadership and support to the kitchen team in a fast-paced environment.
What We're Looking For Must-Haves:
At least 1 year of prior culinary experience in a quality, high-volume food service operation, preferably with experience in scratch cooking. Strong knowledge of culinary methods, food preparation techniques, and food safety standards. Previous experience supervising or leading a team. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to follow established procedures and maintain high standards for food quality and sanitation.
Nice-to-Haves:
Food Handler certification preferred. Experience in institutional, healthcare, corrections, or other high-volume food service environments. Compensation $22.00 per hour
