Job Description
About us Must have weekend availability. We have a new look, remodeled with a larger restaurant and new kitchen. We are growing daily in staff and customers. ```Job Summary``` We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Kay Jays Irish Pub. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to our recipes, guidelines, menu and orders. ```Duties```
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Cook food items on the line during service hours
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in taste and presentation
- Ensure food is cooked and served at the correct temperature
- Maintain a clean and organized work station
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen ```Requirements```
- Previous experience working in the food industry, preferably in a restaurant setting
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Proficiency in using knives and other kitchen equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
