Job Description

This is a full-time, seasonal role ending October 2026. The starting wage for this role is $16.00 per hour. Staff accommodation is available. Roles & Responsibilities Prepare ingredients for service, including washing, chopping, portioning, and storing food items. Assist with the preparation and cooking of menu items according to recipes and quality standards. Set up, stock, and maintain prep stations to support efficient kitchen operations. Support banquet, wedding, and special event food production as needed. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including mixers, slicers, and dishwashing equipment when required. Maintain a clean, organized workstation and comply with all food safety and sanitation standards. Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating inventory following proper food storage procedures. Support daily kitchen operations, cleaning duties, and perform other tasks as assigned.
Other duties as required What skills and experience do you need for this job? Previous kitchen, food service, or food preparation experience is an asset but not required. Basic knife skills and an interest in learning food preparation techniques. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is an asset. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment. Reliable, organized, and willing to take direction.
Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
