Assistant Cook Tyro Learning Center Lexington, NC Job Details Part-time From $10 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Kitchen health and safety standards Pre-cooking preparation Moving High school diploma or GED Driver's License Full Job Description Tyro Learning Center is looking for a part-time assistant to work alongside our head cook. Duties Assist in food preparation and cooking for children 1 -5 years old Follow recipes and ensure adherence to guidelines set by the Child and Adult Care Food Program. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, stoves, ovens, and food processing tools. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by following all health and sanitation guidelines Lifting and moving cans of food, heavy pots and pans Lifting and moving food deliveries as needed Requirements Must be 21 years old or older Must have a high school diploma or equivalent Must have a valid driver's license Experience working in a child care center preferred but not required
