Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Cook to join our dynamic culinary team! The cook must be experienced in cooking Haitian food. Must also be a legal alien or US Citizen. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious, high-quality meals that meet our established standards for taste, presentation, and safety. Your culinary expertise and commitment to food safety will ensure a positive dining experience for our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment dedicated to excellence. Duties Prepare and cook Haitian Food according to traditional recipes and quality standards Assist with menu planning to ensure balanced and appealing meal options Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, slicers, and other appliances Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to strict sanitation protocols Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and safety standards in production Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality and presentation standards Skills Must know how to cook traditional Haitian dishes. Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a restaurant or food industry setting Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production environments Excellent knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient preparation Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation for diverse dietary needs Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Effective communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and ensure smooth workflow Background in dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with special dietary requirements Catering experience is desirable for supporting larger events or special functions Join us as a Cook and bring your culinary passion to life!
