Orthopedics Full Job Description Role:
Orthopedic At-Home Physical Therapist Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries and conditions in their homes
- Educate patients on safe mobility, transfers, and ambulation
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, goals, and prognosis
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and support systems
- Document patient care, progress, and discharge plans following regulatory and reimbursement guidelines
- Provide functional training in ADLs/IADLs, transfers, and community reintegration
- Ensure safe and effective interventions in compliance with standards
- Maintain accurate records using EMR software and participate in billing processes
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate care
- Promote patient success and recovery in a compassionate manner
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree; Doctorate preferred
- Licensed in the practicing state; CPR certification
- Experience with EMR software preferred
- Strong communication, clinical decision-making, and work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive, professional demeanor
Key Duties:
- Conduct evaluations, select tests, and interpret results
- Formulate treatment plans and modify as needed
- Provide patient education and functional training
- Record treatment data and complete billing
