Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, slicers, and fryers Ensure all food handling practices meet safety regulations and hygiene standards Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients and suggesting improvements for dishes Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen areas through regular cleaning routines Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service times Follow food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure quality control Qualifications Prior experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or catering environments is highly desirable Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and food prep methods Knowledge of food safety standards in production environments and proper food handling procedures Experience operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively Excellent communication skills to work seamlessly with team members in a fast-paced setting Background in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus for understanding specialized meal requirements Culinary experience demonstrating recipe adherence, meal preparation, and attention to detail Embark on a rewarding culinary journey where your skills make a real impact!
