Responsibilities:
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the chef or kitchen supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits as needed.
- Ensure that all kitchen utensils and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized.
- Support the chef in preparing ingredients and assembling dishes according to recipes.
- Monitor food stock levels and report shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
- Assist with unloading and storing kitchen deliveries.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from kitchen supervisors.
- Physical stamina to handle tasks that require standing, lifting, and moving heavy items.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
