We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cook Supervisor to lead our dietary department in a caring and resident-focused Personal Care Home. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality meal service, maintaining food safety standards, and supervising kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, develop, and prepare nutritious menus that meet residents' dietary needs and preferences. Coordinate and prepare meals for residents requiring special diets , including therapeutic and modified diets. Manage food and supply inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock control. Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized kitchen. Monitor and supervise kitchen staff performance. Create and manage staff schedules and assist with staffing coverage as needed. Train, support, and mentor dietary team members. Maintain accurate records related to food production, inventory, and safety requirements. Work collaboratively with management and healthcare staff to meet resident needs.
Qualifications:
Safe Food Handling Certification (SafeServe/Food Safe Certification) required. Previous supervisory experience in a healthcare, long-term care, personal care home, or institutional food service setting preferred. Knowledge of menu planning, inventory management, and special dietary requirements. Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of care and service.
Schedule:
Full-time position. Must be available to work every other weekend . Flexibility to assist with staffing coverage when required.

Pay:
