This is an important position in our kitchen. The right person will help prepare the restaurant for a successful day, accurately prep ingredients and top pizzas, and be willing to jump into other kitchen positions when needed. We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing things correctly, stays productive without constant supervision, and understands that every position helps the team. Responsibilities Complete morning prep accurately and on time Prepare ingredients according to DeFazio's recipes, portions, and standards Top pizzas accurately and consistently Read tickets carefully and pay close attention to modifications Work the pizza line during busy periods Assist with expo , making sure orders are complete, accurate, and ready for the customer Work fryer and other line cook stations as trained Help with food preparation, stocking, portioning, and organization Maintain proper food rotation, labeling, and storage Keep prep areas, equipment, coolers, and workstations clean and organized Restock your station before items run out Follow food safety and sanitation procedures Communicate with coworkers when ingredients or supplies are running low Jump in and help other stations during rushes Complete assigned opening, shift, and cleaning duties before leaving What We're Looking For Reliability is extremely important for this position.

Has reliable transportation and can consistently arrive for scheduled shifts Is punctual and ready to work at the beginning of the shift Is accurate and detail-oriented Is organized and keeps a clean workstation Works with a sense of urgency Stays productive during slower periods without needing to be constantly told what to do Can follow recipes, portion standards, and instructions consistently Works well as part of a team Is willing to learn multiple kitchen stations Can handle a fast-paced environment without sacrificing accuracy Communicates clearly with coworkers and management Takes ownership of mistakes and helps correct them Has restaurant, pizza, prep cook, or line cook experience preferred Physical Requirements Must be able to: Stand for extended periods Work around hot ovens and fryers Bend, reach, and move throughout the kitchen Safely lift and carry typical restaurant supplies and food products Work efficiently during high-volume periods Schedule This position will primarily include morning/opening shifts , with flexibility to work additional kitchen shifts as needed.
