The primary purpose of the cook's position is to prepare food with current applicable federal, state and local standards and regulations, with our established policies and procedures and as directed by the Dietary Manager and Supervisor, to ensure a quality food service is always provided. Responsibilities:

Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques. Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets regarding individual resident nutritional needs. Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary. Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal. Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED. Previous Nursing Home experience preferred. Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.

Pay:

From $14.00 per hour
